About the role

Join Zellis Group as our Performance Marketing Director and play a pivotal role in driving measurable business impact for a leading B2B HR, WFM, and Payroll software provider. Reporting to the CMO, you will shape and execute data-driven marketing strategies that accelerate pipeline growth, revenue, and customer success across the UK and Ireland enterprise market.

You will analyse, optimise, and scale marketing performance across all channels, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives and operational excellence. This is a strategic, hands-on leadership role requiring deep analytical skills, B2B enterprise marketing experience, and a proven ability to maximise marketing investment.

Key Responsibilities

Performance Strategy & Optimisation

  • Develop and refine marketing strategies to achieve business goals.
  • Analyse and improve marketing results across all channels to maximise return on investment and sales pipeline.
  • Use data to increase product adoption, customer retention, and service quality.
  • Continuously improve campaigns through testing and performance analysis.

Data & Reporting

  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators, return on investment, conversion rates, and revenue.

Strategic Planning & Alignment

  • Work with the CMO and leadership to create data-driven marketing plans.
  • Manage budgets and prepare business cases for new projects.
  • Ensure marketing activities support sales and enhance the customer experience.

Leadership & Culture

  • Mentor and support a high-performing marketing team.
  • Promote accountability, innovation, and ongoing improvement.
  • Share insights and recommendations with senior leaders.

Collaboration & Influence

  • Lead cross-functional teams in fast-paced, growing environments.
  • Build strong relationships and communicate effectively with senior leaders and enterprise clients.

Skills & experience

  • Extensive experience in performance marketing, analytics, or growth roles, including experience managing budgets
  • Proven success in B2B SaaS or enterprise software, ideally in HR, payroll, or related sectors
  • Experience improving marketing spend efficiency and delivering measurable results
  • Experience working with both private and public sector clients (desirable)
  • Advanced skills in marketing analytics (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics) and data visualisation (Tableau, Looker, Power BI)
  • Strong knowledge of CRM and marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot).
  • Skilled in campaign analysis, attribution, and paid media (Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads).
  • Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets for data and financial analysis
  • Comfortable using AI tools and applications
  • Demonstrable experience of engaging enterprise clients
