 This role will assist in maintaining the current Anaplan landscape, whilst developing enhancements and training the Business Unit Finance teams, Group FP&A, and Central Finance teams to be able to maintain the model longer term. The aim of the role is to make finance teams self-dependent super users of Anaplan and our planning model.

You'll need to have strong experience of Anaplan financial planning models and finance understanding, with a strong ability to support teams in report creation at pace.

Key areas of responsibility will include:
 
  •  Working closely with consultants (Bedford Consulting) to finalise implantation of P&L, as well as documenting end-to-end processes that will support team members with training.
  • Assisting in the implementation of forecasting models, including balance sheet and cashflows.
  • Training and supporting each Finance team super user to increase usage of the platform and raise user confidence.
  • Supporting the BI team in creating dynamic reporting dashboards in Power BI for detail analysis.
  • Supporting in producing high quality management reporting dashboards.
  • Assisting in existing Anaplan model landscape maintenance.
  • Assisting with ad-hoc reporting and reconciliations.
Please note this is a 6 month fixed-term contract. You will be home based, but there will be semi-regular travel required across our office estate (Bristol and Southampton most frequently).

Skills & experience

  • Extensive experience working with Anaplan - maintaining, developing and building Anaplan models as an Anaplan Certified Model Builder.
  • Experience of connecting data using Anaplan Connect, Cloudworks and other API tools.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Understanding of management reporting practices to understand requirements in FP&A and other use cases within the wider Finance team.
  • Experience of delivering end-to-end use case implementations – from requirements gathering, solution documenting, through to model build and implementation.
  • Will ideally have knowledge of integrating with the other systems in our landscape: NetSuite / Snowflake / Power BI.
  • Change management and project management skills.
  • Ability to articulate technical information to non-technical colleagues.
  • Strong numerical, organisational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities and workload
  • Versatility and willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees.
  • Working knowledge of data collection, data analysis, evaluation, and problem-solving methods.
