About the role

Following a recent acquisition, we are seeking a Learning Content Creator to join our Business Services team on a fixed term basis to support this critical integration phase. For a period of 9 months, the role will focus exclusively on the design, development and delivery of new learning content for the product, ensuring our colleagues and customers are equipped with clear, accurate and engaging learning materials aligned to our learning standards and customer experience expectations.

Working closely with Product, Business Readiness and other key stakeholders, the successful postholder will translate product knowledge into high quality digital learning content, helping to embed the new product effectively into our wider product and learning ecosystem.

This is a full time, 9 month fixed-term contract working 3 days per week in our Swinton office. 

Key accountabilities 

Digital learning development and oversight

  • Design, develop and deliver high‑quality digital learning content focused exclusively on the specific payroll product, supporting its integration into the wider learning ecosystem.
  • Translate complex product knowledge into clear, accurate and engaging learning materials aligned to learning standards, branding guidelines and customer experience expectations.
  • Work closely with Product, Business Readiness and Learning stakeholders to define content requirements, scope and priorities for product learning content.
  • Ensure all customer‑ and colleague‑facing learning content is well structured, consistent, concise, and fit for purpose across relevant learning platforms.
  • Manage the end‑to‑end lifecycle of learning content, including creation, review, feedback, sign‑off, version control, publishing and maintenance.
  • Coordinate the production and delivery of multiple learning assets to support key milestones such as product releases and go‑live activities.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation, version control and governance for all learning materials created during the integration period.
  • Ensure learning content is accessible, easy to navigate and aligned to agreed instructional design principles and digital learning best practices. 

Continuous improvement

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of product learning content using feedback, engagement data and other agreed performance measures.
  • Identify opportunities to improve learning content, structure or delivery based on insight from stakeholders, learners and performance outcomes.
  • Recommend and implement enhancements to learning content to improve clarity, usability and learner experience.
  •  Stay up to date with developments in digital learning tools, platforms and approaches, applying relevant improvements where appropriate.
  • Support the ongoing evolution of the learning library by contributing ideas, insights and improvements informed by the product integration experience.
  • Work collaboratively with the Learning team and wider stakeholders to ensure lessons learned during the integration phase inform future product learning activity. 

Skills & experience

  • Proven experience in designing and implementing digital training, instructional design or related fields (including e-learning and blended learning approaches).
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholder requirements and tightly prioritise based on business need and overall impact.
  • Proficiency in digital tools, platforms, and technologies. Understanding of digital trends and their impact on training and development.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience of using HR/ Payroll products and services is an advantage.
  • Excellent English language editing and writing skills – able to differentiate errors from opinions on style, and articulate reasons for changes.
  • Ability to develop and implement digital training strategies aligned with organisational goals.
  • Experience with online content authoring tools, Learning Management System (LMS), Rise 360, Merf, Cantasia beneficial.
  • Sufficient IT / technical knowledge and awareness to adapt to evolving requirements of creating, editing, delivering and managing customer-facing technical content at Moorepay.

  • Technically minded with an excellent understanding of delivering a great customer experience using digital learning.
  • Able to think logically, work under pressure and demonstrate initiative, enthusiasm, and a rapid learning capability.
  • Supporting the business, the post holder must be able to work independently and be able to absorb new information quickly.
  • Highly analytical with great attention to detail.
  • Flexibility, resilience and positive attitude to adapt priorities in the face of changing needs, especially when under pressure.
  • Successful team worker - supportive, co-operative, and collaborative. Able to build meaningful, productive working relationships across various teams to ensure appropriate inputs to content and projects, even where those relationships are predominantly built online through our extensive use of Microsoft’s online collaboration toolsets.
  • Organised. Uses initiative to balance work across concurrent reactive and proactive work responsibilities. Tasks will include a mix of editing, maintenance and creative work.
  • Service orientation – able to balance and meet customer needs and Moorepay business needs.
  • Able to provide input and ideas to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Focus on quality, delivery and customer experience.
