About the role

At Hastee, part of the Zellis Group, we are driving significant transformation across Finance and the wider group, and data sits at the heart of it. As our Transformation Data & BI Manager, you will play a key role in improving business reporting and helping leaders make better, faster decisions.

You will design, build and maintain cross-functional Power BI dashboards for our Executive team and shareholders, turning complex data into clear, reliable insights. Working with SQL, dataflows and data pipelines, you will make sure the data behind every report is accurate, well-structured and refreshed on time.

We're looking for someone who is highly organised, confident and an excellent communicator: someone passionate about data who takes pride in building clean and intuitive dashboards.

Role Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
  • Reporting and dashboards: Design, build and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards for the Executive team, shareholders and clients, turning complex data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Stakeholder partnership: Work closely with Sales, Customer Success and Finance to understand their reporting needs, including the reports shared with clients.
  • KPI ownership: Own the definitions of all KPIs, document them clearly and reconcile figures with Finance before any report is published.
  • Historical integrity: Take monthly snapshots so published historical figures do not change, and maintain one version of the truth across all data points.
  • Data extraction and modelling: Write and optimise SQL queries, views and stored procedures, and design efficient data models (star schema, fact and dimension tables) in SQL and Power BI.
  • Dataflows and pipelines: Build, maintain and monitor Power BI dataflows and data pipelines so refreshes run reliably and on schedule, and contribute to the creation of the data warehouse.
  • Data quality and performance: Identify errors and anomalies across sources, and tune SQL queries and Power BI datasets to improve refresh times and report performance.
  •  Automation and process improvement: Identify where reporting processes can be improved or automated, including with modern AI tools, and document processes with clear flowcharts.

Skills & experience

  • A degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, business analytics, data science or a related field.
  • 6+ years' experience in data, BI or financial reporting roles
  • Excellent data analysis skills (strong Excel required as a minimum)
  • 6+ years' experience of Power BI, including DAX and Power Query (essential)
  • 3+ years' experience of SQL (essential)
  • Automation and AI: Identify the areas where process/activity can be automated and make use of modern AI technologies.
  • Experience in using Office 365 applications like Power Automate/Power APPs to automate the manual processes where possible.
  • 2+ years' experience of using CRMs like HubSpot, Salesforce etc.
  • Exceptional communication skills; written, verbal and active listening – ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise, manage time effectively and problem-solve under pressure
  • Have an eye for detail and able to identify errors and anomalies within data across multiple sources
  •  A professional and collaborative approach to the management of customer data, placing customers' needs at the heart of every decision.
